For the past 3 months, the most prominent thing on mine and Joy's mind was to find a new home. Forget the apartment, renting bullcrap. A home where we could build up equity and make any and all changes to it that we wanted. With all the stress of moving, finding and starting new jobs, trying to make new friends, and figuring our way around this wierd place (seriously, a roadmap of the Springs looks like the product of a half-blind child with a broken etch-a-sketch), we've been a little on edge. Our goal was to just get all the paperwork done for the new home, close, and get moved in...after that, we could take a breather and hopefuly life would slow down a bit for us.

Apparently, life didn't get the memo.

Things have actually been picking up for me at work. I ran the board for the past 2 weekends, and am set to more next weekend. I even did the on-air weather reports for all 3 stations."W'll have a high around 52 degrees here in Colorado Springs, with party-cloudy skies, a possibility of rain later this eveing, and a 30% chance of the apocolypse!"

What has really been killing me these past few weeks is that Joy has been gone the past 2 weeks doing audits out of town. What's more, is that she's gone all this week and the next 2 weeks as well. The ONLY saving grace is that she does come back for the weekends...unfortunately, she also has to work at least half a day on Staurdays. Let's do some math now, boys and girls, 5 weeks is 35 days. If James only sees his wife 6 1/2 days our of that, how long does it take for his screaming to reach Portland?

Okay, now I'm wishing it was fighter practice night...I need to kill something.

Thankfully, there have been some friends who have been kind enough to help break up my monotony and thus keeping me from doing anything that might get a city ordinance passed against me.

Okay, I've vented.
